Did you know…

Accolade awards (collections of certain badges) can give you up to 20% total increase in HPs and +10 points of max endurance?

Other accolades may not provide physical boosts, but provide very powerful (if limited duration powers) which come in *very* handy for 40+ heroes, in particular.  While powers of 1 minute duration may not sound like much, anyone who’s been in a pitched battle with an AV or GM can attest that you can do a LOT with 1 minute – depending on your AT, that's at least 20-30 attacks.  Not too shabby.   

These accolades include:

Archmage                                                                                         When you activate the Eye of the Magus, you are granted a very high bonus to Defense and Damage Resistance for one minute. You can only activate the Eye of the Magus once every 25 minutes.

Conspiracy Theorist (which just has a cool

title for those of us with characters who are

professional paranoids)                                                              A Crey CBX-9 Pistol.  The Crey CBX-9 Pistol immobilizes your target in an icy trap. [This looks like the controller/ice blaster chilblain, but seems higher in accuracy and power.] Deals some damage over time and slightly Slows the target's attack and movement speed even if they break free from the Immobilization. The Crey Cryo Pistol is extremely accurate, but it can only fire once every 25 minutes.          

Geas of the Kind Ones                                                                 You have uncovered the secrets of Croatoa and have been awarded the Geas of the Kind Ones. Like most supernatural gifts, the Geas is both a blessing and a curse. By using it you can greatly increase your recharge speed, Endurance recovery, and Accuracy for 1 minute. However, your Defense will be severely reduced.

[Note: Activate this with Archmage, and the defense factor is essentially nullified.]

Vanguard (the accolade of choice for controllers)        When activated, your Vanguard Medal will double the duration of all your Disorient, Hold, Immobilize, Fear, Confuse and Sleep powers, Knockback distance is also increased. The effect of this boost will last for 1 minute. You can only active the Vanguard Medal once every 25 minutes.
