Double XP weekend is this coming weekend – January 26 through January 28. Perfect time to dust off some of your shelved characters or make up some major ground on your favorite ones.
Per Lighthouse of the CoX Community Forums, the exact times are as follows:

Start: Friday, January 26, 2007 at 8:59 PST/11:59 AM EST
Finish: Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 8:59 PST/11:59 PM EST**
Lighthouse says to disregard this time; the event *will* run through the whole weekend (i.e., until maintenance Monday a.m.)
The jury’s still out on what to do for SG Saturday. Obviously, we’d like to help everyone out as much as we possibly can, and we’re taking ideas for what that can be. I’ll be sending out in-game e-mails and globals asking for suggestions; please feel free to post here as well.
Suggestions so far have been to have the upper teens – low 20’s in the group run the new Faultline arc (since everyone will be doing the same missions, double XP will have an additional kick), to make a list of globals available so that we can quickly contact each other, have the low 30’s and upper 20’s do the Croatoa arc or the Croatoa trial, or do a power hour of missions in Warburg for the low 30’s (like the Faultline arc, with everyone taking the same mission, the double XP boost is doubled again.)
Since we also have an upcoming crop of 19’s and 20’s and a number of low 20’s, an hour on Striga with werewolves and vampires to give everyone the Slayer and Silver Bullet badges for the Atlas Medallion accolade is also an option. As these are largely bosses and lieutenants, the payoff here is obviously good.
I’m also sending e-mails out to the leaders of our coalition partners, to see what they’ve got cooking. I’ll keep you posted.
Cap’s player and I will both be around Friday and Friday night, so doing a SG Friday is *also* an option, if that works out better for people.
Note: Unlike last time, we will be getting double experience, but not double prestige. Not certain if the doubles refer to influence earned, either.
